Timber Floor Restoration – Restoring Timber Floorboards to Perfection
Description: We were tasked with a timber floor restoration project in a beautiful home in Mount Lawley, covering 83m² of recycled timber flooring. The homeowners wanted to bring their floors back to life, ensuring a smooth, polished, and long-lasting finish.
Since the timber floorboards had been previously used and installed two years prior, they were quite uneven, requiring extensive sanding to achieve a level surface. To correct this, we performed a cross-sanding technique, which allowed us to smooth out the inconsistencies and create a flawless foundation.
Once the floors were even, we meticulously filled all nail holes and gaps, ensuring a seamless look before continuing with the final sanding stages. For the finishing touch, we applied a high-quality solvent-based satin polish, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood while providing durability and protection.
This timber floor restoration project took us five days to complete, but the transformation was well worth the effort! The once worn and uneven timber floorboards are now smooth, polished, and beautifully restored, adding warmth and character to the home.
